Monteagle, TN is a great place to paint. The High Point Restaurant is where we have the grand finale meal, of a super painting week.

W MAIN, acrylic, 30 x 24

It is much better now. I like it!

W Main, beginnings

This was as far as I got that day. I am in trouble! The sky is too purple and the lawn is flowing off the page. Of course there are more problems, but that is okay. I can fix it. I love to get in trouble! When I get in trouble, that means I am exploring, getting creative and that is the place I want to be.

I thought it would be interesting to see the painting process. There was a plein air event in Buford, GA and this wonderful house had been calling me for a long time. The shade trees were finally tall enough to tuck my easel under (or perhaps I grew shorter?) so ... this was the year.

There was an Art and Jazz Fest in Buford, GA this June. I set up my easel during the fest and enjoyed the day.

What a way to begin a blog than to tell you about my wonderful Plein Air trip to the Chesapeake Bay area last week.

I met the "Escape Artists" in St. Michaels on Sunday, painted, ate crabs, and got wet from the rain everyday. I loved it!
